Abstract

|
Phytolaccagenin, as a minor free terpenoid, was isolated from the roots of phytolacca esculenta VAN HOUTTE. A mixture of sterols was also isolated and identified as alpha-spinasterol and delta7-stigmastenol, which never seemed to have been found in Phytolaccaceae.
